EASI Webcast is a presentation given at the CSUN conference in March 2001:

Posted on June 21 and then archived after June 28, Steve Noble, a Policy
Analyst for the Kentucky Assistive Technology Service Network, comments on
Section 508 and distance learning.

Steve comments on the coming impact of Section 508: "All states have
previously issued assurances from the governor's office that they will
abide by section 508. The states have finally realized that they signed
those forms and they are going to be obliged to comply with section 508,
but we're still waiting for the Department of Education as well as the
Justice department to issue
policy guidelines on this matter."
Interview will be at: http://easi.cc and then select links for webcasts or
for site index

Note our broadcast is timely as June 21 is the effective date for Section 508!

EASI's next online workshop is Beginners' Barrier-free Web Design beginning
July 9 and running for a month. It is given entirely online and can be
taken anywhere and anytime. Syllabus and registration is at
http://www.rit.edu/~easi/workshops/easiweb.htm

Note! In honor of the effective date of Section 508, EASI is offering
special scholarships to the July web design course. College students,
staff from poorer, private colleges and persons with disabilities can
register for $50. Write [log in to unmask], Norman Coombs to qualify.
