Weekly EASI Webcast interview is the second in a series with Laurie
Harrison talking about new web
repair tools to achieve accessibility. http//easi.cc
Laurie Harrison from the University of Toronto talks about the latest in
Web evaluation tools. The
presentation was given at the Accessing Higher Ground Conference in Boulder
CO. held in November of 2001. The past year seemed to be the year of the
evaluation tool. A number of new free software tools and a number of
commercial services were introduced and Laurie talks about them and much
more.

aspects of accessible information technology with syllabi and registration

Beginners Barrier-free Web Design with an increased emphasis on
Section 508, WYSIWYG editors and accessibility repair tools
Barrier-free E-learning which goes beyond technical accessibility to
include an inter-departmental support system and campus-wide policies for
full inclusion
Train the Trainer which provides an introductory overview of several
adaptive technology software packages for staff who have to give
introductory training such as librarians, disability support staff...
provides training tools for participants to lead their own workshops.
All courses include streaming media demonstrations of software and how they
work. The courses encourage sharing among course participants and
interaction with the instructors. A package of 5 EASI courses will earn
the Certificate in Accessible Information Technology from the University of
Southern Maine.
