I recently installed DSL Internet service on my computer. It works fine. Now, I want to use my other computer in another room to also take advantage of this DSL line. I was told that only have to install a router on the other machine and then I can access the net from either machine with the same IP address. My questions are:
1--what is a router and how is it installed?
2--where can I find them and, how expensive are they?
3--What should I look for when shopping for a router?
4--Are there any recommended suppliers or links available?
I know these are a lot of questions to ask but, I'm completely in the dark on this one. Thanks for hearing me. Ed Bogert ([log in to unmask])
