My understanding is that many, not all, mobos will let you run mixed RAM at the speed of the slowest DIMM.  If you are running at 100 mhz, the fastest RAM will only run at that speed.

I currently have PC133 and PC100 RAM on one MB (ASUS P5B); I am not certain even in that case whether (Linux) Signal 11s are traceable to the mixing of RAM types, or whether PC150, etc., are compatible at 100MHz, which I am running the RAM at currently.
