        Hello,

Does anyone know whether it is possible to replace one or more dead
cells in a battery pack for my Alinco D J-580?

I have the large pack and the smaller pack too and am convinced that
some of the cells in each pack need replacing.  But rather than just
buying a replacement pack, I suspect it would cost far less to go to
one of the battery specialty houses and get replacement cells.  So I am
hoping to find out whether these packs can be disassembled and
defective cells replaced rather than just buying new packs.  Thanks.
