Are these devices listed under device manager? To see device manager,
right-click My Computer, select Properties and the Device Manager tab.
If they are listed, delete them (prefereably from safe mode). When you
reboot again, windows should automatically find the devices and install the
drivers for them. Make sure you have necessary discs available (probably
Windows 98 disc).

When I booted up today, I was missing my CD and DVD player. They were
working OK yesterday. There is a message at boot-up "Device driver not
found OEMCD001. No valid device drivers found". These units are detected
in the BIOS and during the POST. I reinstalled Windows 98 over itself,
but this has not fixed anything. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Alan Priol
