Sounds like some else has been damaged.?
I would boot with a boot floppy (you can get one for the exact OS from
the "new" NoSpin site) and see what happens with that...
If it boots, do not expect to see anything except in DOS...
I would stick with the "exact" OS boot disk because it will cause you
less grief later, depending on what the problems are...

Look around (in DOS) and see if the drives are accessible and then
get back to the list. Or, there are pages that will walk you through a lot
of this on the "new" NoSpin site.

If you have too much trouble booting with a floppy, you might have to
start removing hardware to get the system back to "the basics" to
see if it will function "that way", and then start adding stuff till it "breaks"
again...

Be careful with proper "static" precautions, and handle things gently.

Mark cables as to where they came from, and notice "all" of them must
be put on in a particular way. There is a "keyway" or a colored stripe
on one side... This is a common problem, along with loose cables and
connections.
Another thought - Do not assume they are "correct" now if people have
been "digging around in there" after it no longer worked...

       Have fun... Rick Glazier
