A friend asked me to fix her Cyrix computer which continued to overheat
even with 2 fans in the case, though it ran better if she left the cover
off. I'm a newbie myself but said I'd try.
So I reduced the speed from pr166+ to pr90+ and also lowered
the voltage from 3.3 to 2.8 coz I couldn't think of what else to do.
It now runs beautifully even with the case closed but I keep worrying
that by doing this I may damage the processor or worse. I need reassurance
from you experienced guys out there or alternatively can someone suggest another solution? Thanks.
