This really matters on the amount of omega-3's in the fish.  Yes, you could
reduce the dosage.  The amount you could reduce it depends entirely on the
type and amount of fish he's eating.  I'd be conservative and estimate that
the fish contains only 70% of the omega-3's that a guide will tell you it
contains, and adjust the fish oil acccordingly.

People with bipolar disorders often have major and trace mineral
deficiencies, as well.
