Hi,
Got a problem with an external cdr writer. I'm using easy cd version 4.3 on
a 1ghz machine with 128 megs of memory. The operating system is win 2k and
I have always used the correct win 2k drivers for the cd writer. Lately
it just won't copy files from the hard drive or the built in cd rom on my
pc. I can't make a music cd converting mp3 files to wav or anything like
that yet this used to be no problem.
This morning I disconnected the writer from the pc and set it up on my
laptop. The laptop has only 64 megs of memory using win 98 on a 300 mhz
processor.
I should also add that the writer is a paralleled device.
Anyway, I had absolutely no problems using the writer on the laptop at all
and nor did I have any problems using it on my pc up to recently.
I uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers and the easy cd software but to
no avail.
I also from past experience unload any virus programs or other programs
that might be running in the background.
I use a 2x speed to burn which always worked before.
Below is a copy of one of the error messages i get.
E0413: Engine error - Can not open audio source # 1
E0413: Engine error - Can not open audio source # 1
I would be grateful for any help on this one.
Many thanks in advance,
Paul.
