>I have been working with a laptop recently - Compaq Presario 1625 with
the touchpad style mouse and WIN98. While composing, I am typing along
just fine and when I look up, my insertion point has jumped to a spot a
few lines above and is typing in the new spot. I thought at first that
I was just perhaps touching the mouse pad without realizing it but I
began to really pay attention. Is this a common problem with this style
of mouse? Thanks. Dianne Gronfors

My Twinhead and Dell Latitude always did that whenever I used the
touchpad or eraser head. So I always disabled them in the BIOS and used
an external mouse.
