Jordan is a personal friend of mine, and one of the nicest guys I know,
and he's a strong friend of the disability community. Please find below a
description of Jordan's most recent book:

NEW BOOK DONATES ALL PROFITS TO
CHARITY

FOR THE CHILDREN III

BY JORDAN RICH

"For the Children III" is a delightful gift of a book, bringing a
third helping of short stories, poems, humor anecdotes, recipes and
games inspired, remembered or promised during the wee hours of the
morning. "For the Children III" contains material compiled by WBZ
NewsRadio host Jordan Rich from his collection of pieces sent to
him over the years by his listeners.

The veteran on-air personality was born and raised in Boston and
has worked in the Boston radio and TV market for over twenty years.
Jordan started his career at the age of eighteen at WRKO in Boston.
From 1978 to 1982 he worked as weather reporter, morning show
sidekick and eventually the morning co-host. He even got the chance
to host a Broadway music show called, "Music Sunday."

In 1982, Jordan signed on with WLLH-AM as a talk-show host and
handled the weekend music shift at WSSH-FM. In early 1983, Jordan
was named WSSH morning host and he began to use his celebrity to
benefit area non-profits. He worked with numerous community groups
including the American Cancer Society, the American Heart
Association, the March of Dimes, Easter Seals, the Massachusetts
Learning Disabilities Association, and the American Red Cross.

In 1996, he signed on with WBZ NewsRadio 1030 as a temporary
talk-show host and eventually succeeded his longtime friend and
mentor, the late Norm Nathan. Jordan loves connecting with the
audience during the overnight and has interviewed hundreds of
guests including best selling authors, entertainers, sports figures
and health practitioners.

Jordan has raised over $50,000 for Childrens Hospital Boston during
the past three years. You can join Jordans crusade for kids and
help support Childrens Hospital Boston while purchasing a special
gift for those on your list. Just send a check for $20, (Checks
should be made payable to Children's Hospital Boston), to Jordan
Rich, c/o WBZ, 1170 Soldiers Field Rd., Boston, Ma. 02134 or check
his website at www.jordanrich.com for the ordering information.

Jordan will also host a radiothon on December 15 to support
Childrens Hospital. The radiothon will air on WBZ AM 1030 from 8 to
midnight and feature guests, on-air auctions and a pledge drive.

Please cross post this anywhere it would be appropriate.
