Hi all,

There was a couple concerns about my listing of GF Breyer's Ice Cream.
Each response I emailed to their Customer Help Desk at
[log in to unmask]

The first guestion was how could they say that those ice creams are GF if
the said they don't test their products?

Breyer's response is as follows:

>Sorry that this was confusing. We have tested the Ice Creams only at this
>point. The ice creams listed are gluten free, however we have not done
>testing on our novelty lines like Good Humor, Klondike and Popsicle. Thank
>you.

The second concern was from someone who had received a letter from Breyer's
Consumer Help Desk Director, Tom Sauer, dated June 15th saying that only the
vanilla was GF.

Their response:

>>I can understand your concern, the list that includes the multiple flavors
>>is our most updated list. We are continually obtaining more information on
>>our products. In the near future it is our hope to have more of our
>>products tested. Thank you.

The person I was corresponding with never put there names in any of the
emails so I don't know if this person was in fact the Tom Sauer mentioned
above. I can tell you that I have tried their Light Mint-chocolate Chip Ice
Cream and I had no reaction to it. My system seems to react even to a bread
crumb, if that means anything to other Celiacs. Good Luck everyone.
