Most of the computers in the hospital are hooked to the router for DSL
internet
including several Macs. The Macs are networked thru appletalk I think.
The Pcs seem to only be hooked to the router for internet, don't think
anyone
is file sharing at all on the pcs. They just don't seem to realise the
benefit from networking.

A workgroup

Yes just the three are going to share files, they all have their own
printers for now.
They will be using the win2k machine for the server. The client machines
will mostly just share accounting files stored on the server.
I suppose they will share word documents to a limited extent.
Don't know what file system on the win2k machine, it came preloaded from
Micron.
I can check if that's important.
Again their concern is mostly just keeping other computers in the building
from accessing
the accounting files.
