>> Sharing two separate Internet connections is complicated.

If you have 2 computers in your home and you would like to join them it
is not so complicated?
You don't need a router or a hub?

I have a DSL modem that links to my computer with a Ethernet NIC. I
also have a 2nd Ethernet NIC in this computer that connects to my 2nd
computer's Ethernet NIC using normal cat5 cable and a crossover
coupler. I then run a program called ProxyPlus (
http://www.proxyplus.cz/ ) that is Freeware for non commercial use. I
can browse with no problems on both computers and AOL IM works on both
computers. Dialpad works fine on the computer with the DSL modem but I
don't think it would work on the other computer? I haven't spent any
time to get Mail Clients to work but everything else works great and the
only cost to me was 2 Ethernet NICs ($20) and Cat5 cable ($10) and
Crossover Coupler($7).
