Reply:
Nuts would do nothing to replenish glycogen stores.  Nuts are mostly fat
with very small amounts of protein and negligible amounts of carbs; some
nuts contain enough fiber to yield no digestible carbs. A food must be rich
in digestible carbohydrates to replenish glycogen.  As I understand,
fructose rich fruits would replenish liver glycogen but you'd need starchy
fruits (bananas, papayas, mangoes), or sweet potatoes (sold as yams) or
winter squash, to replenish muscle glycogen.  Carrots, dates, or prunes,
could also help.
