Hi
Just wanted to say I also have a Diamond Supramax 56K and have had no
problems with it! I find a hardware modem is much better than a software
modem. If you live rural or have interference with your phone lines it can
cause a problem with the software modem. I had one before and had only
problems!
Hope this helps

I needed to free up a pci slot so I got an external
Diamond Supra 56k. They have models which conncect
via USB or serial. I have the latter and it connects
at 115.2k! Got it on eBay at around $20 brand new.
I have read that US Robotics is the best, but I have
been very satisfied with this for almost a year now.
