On the Microns I have worked on, the fan housing is two piece and
just snaps apart in the middle, there should be a seam running vertically
between the halves.
I believe I used a small straight blade screwdriver.
If I remember right the plastic is pretty tough.
Just go for it, work the screwdriver between the halves carefully and it
should snap apart fairly easily.
