Good questions but I fixed the problem with a new hard disc set as master
and reloaded W98 on it. Then installed the old HD as slave. It works that
way but will not boot so I ran scandisk to correct any bad sectors. I still
don't know why it failed but at least I still have all my data files.
Thanks for the help
Raymond
I just have a couple of different questions to ask you. What did you do
before you received this message? Where you trying to overclock your
processor or create a raid array or anything else like that. I might not be
a
hardware problem and you might still have the information intact just need
to
undo anything that you might have done before that. Please post any changes
made before your problem arised.
