Thank you, Joseph. I did find a solution in a book I have on Windows 98. I only had the drives and the video card in and did the install. Went flawlessly. I installed the programs I wanted on the drive and then installed the modem and sound card.
Everything seems to be working fine. I don't know why the system wouldn't take the OS with everything onboard, but there was a work-around this time. Thanks to all who responded.
