Greetings Listers,
I am attempting to install Win2000 Professional on a new WD 40G drive. The
O/S is being booted from the CD. When I get to the screen that asks me if I
want to create a partition in the unused space, I select that option. I
want to create a partition of about 12GB, leaving the remainder
unpartitioned for later use. However, on the screen where I should be able
to enter a size for the partition I wish to create I am unable to change the
value from the one that is displayed, which is the size in MB of the
unpartitioned space. I tried creating a partition with a FAT32 bootable
floppy using fdisk, and then booting the Win2000 CD, but setup says it is
unable to format the partition that I created. I chose FAT32 prior to
formatting, incidentally. Hardware details are: P200mmx, FIC VIA503a ,
128MB. Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
George
