I have an HP Colorado parallel port 8/4 GB (uses TR-4 tapes) tape
drive. Does anyone know if there are LINUX drivers available that will
work with this drive? If no such drivers exist yet, then what would be
a good internal IDE drive, also using 8/4 GB TR-4 tapes, that would work
under both LINUX and WINDOWS 95 and NT?
[I was considering the HP Colorado 8/4 GB (i.e.- the internal
equivalent of my external drive) for compatibility reasons, but I can't
seem to find it for sale anymore; it looks like HP has discontinued all
their TRAVAN drives.]
I am also interested in recommendations for tape backup software
under LINUX, and would like to hear about real-life experiences anyone
would like to relate regarding tape backup under LINUX.
Thanks in advance,
Bob Castorf
