Hello everyone,
I was on a beta blocker for many years before going paleo. After about 2
years of paleo my heart rate started dipping into the low 40s so my doctor
said not to take the beta blocker.
Now at about 3 years of paleo and 130 lb weight loss I have cut my other BP
medicine (Prinivil) in half because
my blood pressure has been consistently below normal.
My average BP = 116/67. Heart rate = 65.
It has been a week at the lower dose and my
pressure has been fine.
I have had a history of hypertension since I was 18 years old and have had 3
minor strokes because of it.
My cholesterol usually ran 325 before anti cholesterol meds and it has
fallen to 161 on paleo. Those meds were cut in half by my doctor also.
Paleo has been very good to me.
Michael
