Hi Todd and Dianne,

  My understanding is that ratios are important and should be no more than
4:1 (n3 to n6), and ideally 2:1 (n3 to n6).  SAD runs about 1:16 or more.

Below is a link to a site with an extensive article on fatty acids.  While
they draw a few conclusions with which I disagree, overall, the article is
factual.
