What kind of add in card did you get? (ISA or PCI) If it's ISA that is your
problem. The ISA card is probably NOT plug and play and therefore windows
has no idea you have installed it. Remove the printer port entry from device
manager and reboot. Then manually add the printer port using the add new
hardware wizard (don't let it auto detect, just select it manually). Please
note that you will have to know the IO addresse that the printer port is set
to (most likely 0x378). TTYL
