I couldn't tell from the picture or description at the HP site if the 1200 is
straight/flat fed or hopper fed, if the price is close it's probably hopper fed.
The 1100 like the 5L and 6L are hopper fed and are not as good as the
straight/flat fed printers. With time, the hopper fed types start to fed multiple
pages. The straight/flat types pretty much last forever, you still can find
working LaserJet II's out there. If you must choose between the two, get the one
with the longest duty cycle.

You can also search for a refurbished 6P or something like it. I bought one with a
year warranty from HP, just like new, for less than a new 1100 and it is a much
better printer.
