Memory leaks don't cause CPU usage to increase. Memory leaks cause
resources and/or available memory to decrease. High CPU numbers means that
there is a lot of program processing going on. If the number of
connections to his audio stream start increasing, his processing would
naturally increase. Can he monitor the number of connections with his
installation of Shoutcast? That may be the problem. I know that some of
the larger commercial streaming audio sites have had to install many
parallel servers to handle the processing power required.
