Salmon and chicken would be my two main meaty protein sources, I guess.
I'm actually a Zoner, not a Neanderthiner, though, so I also get some
protein from lower-fat dairy and soy products.
My point about not liking steak stemmed from my feeling that for some
people, it would not be a positive point of the Neanderthin diet that
you "get" to eat a lot of meat. I find that eating Zoneful quantities
of protein is a bit of a chore sometimes. It is much more pleasing
to my palate to eat smaller quantities of protein foods with more
generous servings of fruits and grains.
