Exactly! And one dietitian has already written a book on her excuse for the
Paleo diet; grains are in the mix. And they're not a sidebar; you should
should eat 'em GD every day according to her wisdom.
For most people, human history begins with grains; they cannot grasp the
concept that there was a time when people didn't eat them. Or if there IS
such a time period, people's knuckles dragged the ground and they carried
big sticks. This is the average Joe's perception of "early humans." Sure,
it's dead wrong but so what? A grain producer can hitch his or her wagon to
this perception, say the grain is "all natural" and/or "minimally processed"
and, right as rain, people will consider this an evolutionary wonder food.
