Hi durianphiles,
>All what ou want to know about durian onl the smell and taste is lacking .
>It smell and taste so good that i salivate just at the idea.
I found some FRESH durians at the local Asian food store. $ 5.99 regular $
6.99 per lb.!! I couldn't resist. It ended up costing $ 23.42.
The first difference from frozen was that it was VERY hard to cut up. It
had a more pungent fragrance and the flesh was harder than usual.
The frozen ones I have had seemed sweeter. The fresh durian was a Monthong
durian and the frozen ones were Goldens. I bought 3 frozen ones @ $ .99 per/lb.
I'm addicted.
