French and Portugese bullfights are traditionally like this.
The french bullfights are televised onlate-night tv and seem very
popular.
Some even take place in a Roman ampitheatre

I saw a bull leaper get trampled by a bull in Portugal , probably ended
up with broken ribs or fractured collar bone. Goring is supposed to be
less frequent
I have read several times that the skeletons of early man show injuries
similar to climbers or rodeo performers
