While I haven't had studies done recently, I do have slightly raised
testosterone levels due to PCOS; irregular menstrual cycles are a prime
problem with this particular condition. This diet regulated my cycles
immediately, so it did SOMETHING in this area. Precisely what, I can't say.
While my cycles are now regular, I still do have a few lil' ol' chin hairs I
pluck; that's testosterone (duh). So it's still there. Dammit. Other PCOS
patients notice some improvement in facial hair when they switch their diet.
I know a friend of mine can see a difference since making The Switch.
Then again, maybe it's extra testosterone that makes me thrive on
competition. Or maybe it's what makes me cuss! :) Either way, I enjoy both
competition and cussin', so no complaints!
