Arrrggg!!!! Don't get me started! I desperately need to see a physio
because of my fall, and I have two choices through the public health
system. 1 My GP refers me to local hospital where I wait up to a
month to get to see a medical registrar, who refers me to the physio
dept. in the same hospital, which can take another month, by which
time I am in screeching agony, because I don't like to take too many
painkillers/muscle relaxants (don't like being dependent on
ANYTHING!!!), orrrrr, option 2, trot myself into the causualty
dept. of aforementioned hospital (underfunded, understaffed, and
overfull) with a letter from my doc wait several hours in there either
on uncomfortable waiting room chairs in lots of pain, or on a hospital
guerney that is too short (designed, I am told, for people who are 5
foot 8 inches - I am 5"10', and we all know how uncomfortable those
things are), for some doc to examine me and refer me to physio for the
next couple of weeks. I HATE ER depts, and don't want to spend all
day in one....... Anyway that is my winge for the day. I do not like
being in this much pain, it turns me into a complaining cow. Sorry,
everyone.
