if i were in my my new home that will be an option. in the present house it
is not. actually it is not nearly accessable, but, we have shopped carefully
this time and if i get moved the chair will definaly be an option.

Why can't you use a wc for the duration of your recovery. You'll definitely
keep the weight of the foot and can learn transfer techniques for the
bathroom etc prior to the surgery.
