In my life, I have been involved in profitable business.  That does not
mean I should expect people to be robots that when broken down you toss
them out.  These people (robots) make the owners the money.  The Supreme
Court of both Canada and the United States do set law - common law.
However, in this case you are somewhat right in that the Court decided on a
definition which of course is wrong.  Wrong, because as you put it,
economics are nothing to dismiss.  In fact, employment is the major part of
one's life no-a-days - no free rides.  And for my point, this woman is not
asking for a free ride.  Oh, one last thing:  the Supreme Court of the
United States of America just set jurisprudence so that when ever the next
court case comes along, their decision will be followed, unless another
case and new judges who do understand Congress's will comes along.  But,
maybe the Legislation will be changed before that day.
