Hello There

I am surprised that you have been told you can't use an auto tuner.
I am not surprised that those in the rig don't work as they will only
cope with relatively low mismatches.

The only problem I can envisage with the better external auto tuners is
the termination of the antenna. The remedy is only a couple of
connectors and a crimper or soldering iron.

The SGS range were designed for the hostile maritime mobile environment
and should work fine.
