I've always been curious about the significance of INT 13 in Device
Manager, with reference to drives. I note that it's present as an option,
and
checked, for my Iomega ZIP 100Mb drive, so I've left it as is.
And although I've never been 100% sure about what I'm doing, I always
uncheck 'Disconnect' and 'Sync Data Transfer' if they become checked in the
CDRom drive specs, as I understand these only apply to SCSI devices.
However, as my two HDD's are connected to a Promise IDE controller, I've
left them checked for these options.
Also, I understand DMA refers to Direct Memory Access and selecting this
option for a drive will only 'stick' if the drive supports this function.
Anyone able to shed a little more light on these esoteric labels, please?
