I had planned to build a new PC this Fall, but starting considering the benefits (aka costs) of upgrading my Dell XPS D300, Slot 1, Pentium II machine. I've ordered an additional 256 of RAM from Cruical (cheap - I know, I know . . . may be overkill), and am considering an Evergreen Performa 600 ($59) or 700 ($109) upgrade. I do some digital photography stuff and could use a little more speed/power. My old AGP x1 card could also use a boost.
Any recommendations? Horror stories? Success stories?
Thanks,
Ed Nottingham
