more on hard drives and get some more up to date reviews on them.

As far as which hard drive will take full advantage of your
motherboard...get an ATA-100 compatible drive.  You can usually tell if the
drive is capable of that standard by reading the description of the drive
you are considering.  If not there, go to the manufacturers web site and
look up the drive's specific model number.

I personally use Western Digital & recommend them to my clients as well.
Three year standard warranty on all their hard drives.  They also put
diagrams on each drive so that there is no questioning how to set up the
drive as the Master or Slave.  As far as speed goes...to get the most speed
out of the IDE drive, go for a 7200rpm drive.
