That sounds like an overheating situation. Are you overclocking your PC? If
so, throttle back to normal speed and see what happens.
If you're not overclocking, take the case off and use a small house fan to
blow cool air on the video card. If the card runs okay then, get a video
card cooling fan from some place such as http://www.3dfxcool.com/.
