Obviously not a riveting tale.

I have long considered writing the following novel, "Electrical Pliers."
Standard plot formula, boy meets girl, boy loses girl, pygmies discover Rhode
Island (a modern twist to an old story). Actually, the poor boy gets his
animus snipped, can't find girl, can't tell if he has found girl when he does
find girl, can't recognize the abstract "girl" for whatever it is worth,
testosterone gone banty, and the misguided youth is plunged into decades of
psychotherapy with nightmares of being chased by a gigantic pair of blue
handle Klein pliers.

Intersperse this with W. S. Burroughs type hallucinatory snippets of the
National Electrical Code in extra small print, mix the years up to confuse
everyone in a miasma of realism, stage several confusing and muddled scenes
of dialogue at a nuclear generation facility, and throw in flashes of Timothy
Leary neurospeak. The volume should be bound with aluminum and gold foil with
a charged condenser that releases electrical energy into the hands of the
reader in random bursts.

I think this could be a Great American Novel!
