Network Neighborhood doesn't always appear in Win9x desktops if you have no
dial-up networking or network drivers installed. Once you load some network
drivers / or install dial-up networking, the icon will be added to your
desktop. Use the control panel network icon to setup your drivers for your
10/100 card, or use the add/remove icon, windows setup tab, to add dial-up
networking if it didn't install. Either way, the desktop icon should appear
as soon as you successfully complete one or the other.
