I have a Packard Bell SVGA monitor. A few night ago while I was online
the monitor went black and the power light on the monitor went out. I
turned the switch off then back on and the monitor was ok...... for
about 15 minutes, then repeated the failure. I repeated the fix, which
worked for a few minutes, then it went out again. now, it won't come on
at all.
From the symptoms, it seems to me that I might have a bad switch. I was
thinking about taking the cover off, and either replacing the switch (if
I could fine one), or bypassing it altogether (I usually use a power
strip with it's own switch anyway).
Could it be anything else other than the switch. If so, is it something
I could fix myself.
Thanks for your help.
