1.  This could have to do with the firewall/gateway used by the work
network.  Check with your local admin.

2.  I believe it's ComCast -- a cable company that offers @home
service -- that doesn't allow VPN on their @home customer addresses.
They want you to pay the extra for @work if you want to run VPN
protocols.  [The fact that you get authenticated makes me doubt this
is your case, but I con't be sure.]

3.  I could never borwse the work network coming in via VPN from
home, but could still use NET USE to mount shares.  Might be
interesting to see if that works for you.

4.  What range are you using for the home network, and what IP do you
get assigned as a client?  Are you trying to browse across multiple
subnets without WINS?
