If you have a simple two or three speaker setup go to radio Shack and
purchase a switch with RCA Jacks. Take the speaker cable plug in with you
and they will set you up...it is probably a 1/8 inch stereo phone jack.
What you will be doing is plugging your speakers into a in-line stereo
female to female 1/8 inch phone line jack. Then you will plug a Stereo
cable with two RCA jacks on one end and a 1/8 inch stereo male phone jack
on the other end into your new female adaptor.... and the RCA jacks on the
back of the switch. You will do the same thing from the sound card ...1/8
inch stereo phone jack in soundcard.... stereo RCA to the switch. Then
you push a button to switch your speakers between soundcards ( computers)
The 15 dollar switch they sell will switch up to three computer from one
source.
