Yeah, I took the Advanced and Extra exams with the diagrams etc. as well.
The FCC engineer came in to describe the diagrams.

He went through one and told me where the PNP transistor was hooked up as
far as the colector, emitter and base.  Then, when he got to the third
question, he goes ... "Ah, hell!"  The question was: "what type of
transistor is in this diagram?"  I was able to tell him if it was a PNP
which way the arrows pointed, so he knew I had knowledge of the answer even
though he had mentioned the type in his description of the schematic.
