Hi all I recently asked if anyone knew if Inland Valley Potato Stix
(like huge tater-tots) were gf. No one knew for sure! I promised to call
the mfgr, but haven't done that yet. I will do it and let you all know.
Most of my replies were regarding McDonalds french fries. I mentioned
that my daughter has been getting a stomach ache every time she eats
them. ALL of you said that we should check if the oil is shared with
breaded items. I have asked the management several times, and each time
they assure me that the oil is not shared. However, many of you
suggested that sometimes a worker might get lazy and use the french fry
oil for whatever they needed at the time. (One person said that
McDonald's french fries are coated in flour, but I have heard
otherwise.)
What we've decided is to switch to In-n-Out Burger french fries. As far
as I know, they don't even have any breaded products. I asked a server
there and she assured me that nothing but french fries goes into that
oil.
best wishes to you all - and thanks for the help.
