Hi - When you click 'connect' in your dialup networking box (assuming you're
using Dialup Networking or DUN to connect to your ISP) do you hear a 'click'
if you put your ear near the modem? If not, then you may have to remove the
modem in Device Mgr. and reinstall it through control panel-->modems.
Before you try that, you might want to go to control panel-->modems, (first
check if your modem is listed there), click 'add modem' and see if it
detects your modem again. It might ask you to choose a COM port and you may
be prompted for a driver disk for the modem. I would go ahead and reinstall
the driver.

Then in DUN (in 'My Computer') right-click on your ISP connection, click
properties, and select the modem that was just detected above. Then try
connecting again.

You could try contacting your ISP's tech support. They are usually helpful
with getting you connected even if it isn't on their end.
