Russell: I'd like to do a similar thing. I currently have 2 HDs, SyQuest
SparQ and CD burner occupying the two Ultra DMA/33 BM IDEs on my ASUS P5
A-B. I want to install a second CD drive. I had been told that it would cost
about $150 Canadian for the hardware. Although a Google search did not
uncover and detail on the Promice Ultra 100, I have located a source in a
nearby city [Kingston, Ontario] that lists it for $60. Sounds good to me!
Could you please tell me a bit more about installation [where it goes, BIOS
implications, etc.] or identify a web site that might have more detail.
Thanks,
Peter Darrach

None...buy a Promise Ultra100 for about $40 and you will be all set. I
have three running in my machines at home and setup was brain dead simple.
All the best,
