I was born in '43....had measles, chicken pox, and mumps as
a child.....had a smallpox vaccination around 4 or 5 years old....
never had any other vaccines until pregnant and the doctors
insisted on rubella "boosters" and I think I remember a polio
"booster"....not sure on that last.......I had asthma as a child,
had hives (still do, but now I know what I'm allergic to)...I
have Rheumatoid Arthritis....have had since '72.....my mother
also had RA....I don't think there is a connection - for me,
anyway - to childhood vaccines as I never had any....obviously,
my mother - born in '17 - never had any vaccines either. It
would be interesting to know what triggered the RA in my
mother and in me. As far as I can trace our family back, no
one ever had RA until my mother did. One sure thing I've
learned since going "Paleo" is that wheat products trigger
swelling and pain in my joints............
